El Cotillo - our home
El Cotillo, pure nature - whether lagoon beach or surfer beach with waves, here you can still find lonely bays. The area around Cotillo is still little developed for tourism. This also makes this beach so worth seeing: few tourists.
Just a few meters north of the village of El Cotillo is Playa los Lagos. The light sand of this coastal area in the north of Fuerteventura is reminiscent of icing sugar. The attractive beach offers besides bathing pleasures walks in beautiful nature.
The entire bathing area consists of several bays separated by lava rocks and stones in the water. Although the bay is on the west coast, one can quite bathe (through the offshore rocks) in it. Nudism is practiced, among other things. The beach is also suitable for children, as the beach falls flat into the sea.
The beach bays extend to the lighthouse. North of the lighthouse of El Cotillo, numerous smaller sandy beaches, the Caletillas, line up. Lava flows separate the bright beaches and create sheltered bays and lagoons that invite you to swim in the north of Fuerteventura. But here too: Beware of strong currents!

Corralejo
Corralejo - the Disneyland of the north of Fuerteventura, as we like to call it - because of its nightlife, restaurants, bars and clubs. Here you can go shopping to your heart's content or lie down on the beach.
The beaches around Corralejo are located in the north-east of the island, with names such as Flagbeach, Playa del Morro, etc., allow a view of the small island of Los Lobos. The beaches have different names and are composed of several sections. Corralejo Viejo, for example, is closer to the city centre. However, the further south you move, the more space you have for your towel - that is, off to Playa Grande, which is about 10km long.

Caleta de Fuste
The beach of Caleta de Fuste is located in the east of the island and it is a really idyllic beach that stretches over 700 meters along the east coast. The beautiful beach enchants with its sand colour, which is reminiscent of the hue of vanilla ice cream. Due to the very relaxed atmosphere, the beach Caleta de Fuse is perfect for a great family holiday here on Fuerteventura.

Sotavento
The beach Sotavento or "Playa de Sotavento" is a 5 km long stretch of beach on the southern east coast of Fuerteventura. The beach is divided into different sections: "Playa Risco del Paso" (Risco del Paso is also called the small town here) and "Playa Barca" (beach of the ship). The name of The Sotavento beach is derived from the name of the Sotavento Islands of the Cap Verde Archipelago, but the Sotavento beach is located in the Canary Archipelago.
On both sections of the beach there are the stations for kite surfing, windsurfing and catamaran rides by Rene Egli. Every year the windsurfing and kiteboarding world championships take place here. Playa de Sotavento is ideal for beginners and kiteboarding as well as professionals. The beach is actually too windy for relaxing bathing. However, you can lie down in the wind-protected small overgrown dunes.

Cofete
The beach of Cofete is not a beach for bathing and has somehow something magical, even mystical about it. Deserted, lonely, abandoned and often lying in the fog, the beach offers a great film backdrop. In the background are the mountains of Jandia, which are up to 800 m high, where the clouds hang.
A strong breeze always blows here and there is a high swell. The beach looks breathtakingly eerie, yet beautiful! You should not bathe here because of the high waves and the strong current. On the approx. 2-3 km long beach there are no tourists or locals, the beach is also absolutely unsuitable for children. When visiting Fuerteventura, you should take a day and inspect this unspoilt nature. Apart from sand and sea, there is not much to see here, except the mysterious "Villa Winter". In the village of Cofete there is a restaurant serving local cuisine. In addition, there is also the small village "Cofete" with a restaurant.
